11:00 am - 12:15 pm

This virtual session offers a clear, compassionate introduction to depression and how it affects individuals, families, and caregivers. It is designed both for adults supporting someone with depression and for those who are experiencing depressive symptoms and want trustworthy, stigma‑reducing information.

Guided by a licensed psychotherapist (to be announced), we will:

  • Explain the difference between everyday sadness and clinical depression
  • Highlight common signs, symptoms, and myths about depression
  • Explore how depression can strain relationships and impact caregivers’ emotional well‑being
  • Share guidance on when and how to seek professional and community support

This discussion is educational and supportive rather than crisis care, and will be held in a respectful, non‑judgmental space. Participants are welcome to share only what feels comfortable and will leave with a more accurate understanding of depression, validation of their experiences, and clearer next steps for getting help for themselves or a loved one.
