PROGRAMS

Empowering Lives Through Specialized Care Programs

KAPWB is developing two new programs that support families and caregivers dealing with mental health challenges. We offer resources and group counseling for those caring for individuals with Dementia and limited individual counselling sessions are being planned along with webinars for those caring for people with depression and suicidal thoughts.

Global Conflicts and Mental Health

The Global Conflicts & Mental Health Program is a pioneering initiative aimed at addressing the profound psychological impact of on-going global conflicts on individuals within our multicultural society. Recognizing the distress caused by distressing media content and heightened political discourse, this program seeks to provide support and strategies for navigating these challenges effectively.

Depression Caregiver Support

Have a colleague, family or friend suffering from Depression? This program aims to help caregivers supporting someone with depression and suicidal thoughts. The knowledge, understanding, and group support can make all the difference.

Dementia Caregiver Support

Focus is on the unique challenges faced by families and professional caregivers supporting individuals with dementia. This program provides essential tools, resources, and emotional support to help caregivers manage the complexities of dementia care.

Individual Counselling Sessions

Subject to availability of Funding, we are working hard to be able to develop a program that provides subsided / free individual counselling for people with limited resources and/or lacking insurance coverage.
