This virtual session offers a strengths‑based introduction to autism and how it can affect family life, stress, and caregiver mental health. Designed for parents, caregivers, family members, PSWs, and community helpers, it combines gentle education with space for reflection and questions.

Guided by a licensed psychotherapist (to be announced), we will:

  • Explain what autism is in clear, everyday language (brain‑based differences, not “bad behavior”)
  • Highlight common strengths and common challenges at home, school, and in the community
  • Explore how caregiving for an autistic child, teen, or adult can impact stress, relationships, and emotional well‑being
  • Share a few simple, practical strategies to support both autistic individuals and the people who care for them

Participants are welcome to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable. You will leave with a clearer understanding of autism, validation for the realities of caregiving, and ideas for small changes that can make a meaningful difference.
