DESCRIPTION:Virtual Community Discussion\nFinding meaningful employment in 
 a new country can be both exciting and challenging. Many immigrants experi
 ence stress related to credential recognition\, underemployment\, financia
 l pressure\, and rebuilding a professional identity. This virtual discussi
 on explores how employment challenges can affect mental health and offers 
 practical tools for navigating these experiences.\nGuided by a mental heal
 th professional or experienced facilitator (to be announced)\, this intera
 ctive workshop will:\n\n\n 	\nExplore the connection between work\, identi
 ty\, and well-being for newcomers and immigrants\n\n 	\nDiscuss common cha
 llenges such as underemployment\, workplace discrimination\, and job searc
 h stress\n\n 	\nReflect on personal work journeys and the strengths people
  bring from their past professional experiences\n\n 	\nIntroduce practical
  strategies for coping with job search stress\, rejection\, and uncertaint
 y\n\n 	\nHighlight community resources including newcomer employment suppo
 rts\, skills programs\, and mental health services\n\n\nParticipants will 
 have opportunities to reflect on their own experiences and share insights 
 in a supportive learning environment.\nThis session is designed for immigr
 ants and newcomers navigating employment challenges\, including those seek
 ing their first job in Canada\, working in roles below their qualification
 s\, or adjusting to a new professional landscape.\nThe discussion will tak
 e place in a respectful\, inclusive space. Participants are welcome to eng
 age at their comfort level and will leave with practical coping strategies
  and information about community resources and KAPWB supports.
