DESCRIPTION:In-Person Community Discussion at Heartwood House\nMoving to a 
 new country can bring hope and opportunity\, but it can also involve loss\
 , uncertainty\, and emotional stress. This community discussion offers a w
 elcoming space for immigrants\, refugees\, and community members to explor
 e the mental health aspects of adapting to life in a new country.\nGuided 
 by a mental health professional or experienced facilitator (to be announce
 d)\, this interactive session will:\n\n\n 	\nExplore common emotional expe
 riences in the immigration journey\, including grief\, stress\, and identi
 ty changes\n\n 	\nIntroduce simple mental health concepts to help distingu
 ish between normal adjustment stress and when additional support may be he
 lpful\n\n 	\nProvide space for participants to reflect on their own migrat
 ion experiences and sources of resilience\n\n 	\nShare practical coping st
 rategies such as grounding techniques\, breathing exercises\, and building
  supportive networks\n\n 	\nHighlight local community resources and suppor
 ts available for newcomers and families\n\n\nThis session is designed for 
 immigrants\, refugees\, caregivers\, and community members interested in s
 upporting newcomer well-being.\nThe discussion will take place in a respec
 tful\, inclusive space at Heartwood House\, where participants are welcome
  to share at their comfort level. Attendees will leave with practical copi
 ng tools\, shared language for mental health conversations\, and informati
 on about KAPWB programs and community supports.
