DESCRIPTION:Virtual Community Workshop\nGlobal conflicts often reach classr
 ooms\, youth programs\, and community spaces through children’s question
 s\, emotions\, and conversations shaped by news and social media. Educator
 s and youth workers may find themselves navigating difficult discussions w
 hile trying to maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children 
 and families.\nThis workshop supports educators\, school staff\, and commu
 nity leaders in responding to these moments with empathy\, care\, and prac
 tical strategies that promote safety and understanding.\nGuided by a KAPWB
 -affiliated mental health professional (to be announced)\, this session wi
 ll:\n\n\n 	\nExplore how global conflict and distressing media can affect 
 children and youth\n\n 	\nDiscuss common emotional responses such as fear\
 , anger\, confusion\, or polarization\n\n 	\nIntroduce trauma-informed and
  culturally sensitive approaches to group discussions\n\n 	\nShare simple 
 classroom and group activities that build empathy\, resilience\, and respe
 ctful dialogue\n\n 	\nHighlight when and how to connect youth and families
  with additional mental health supports\n\n\nThis session is designed for 
 educators\, school staff\, administrators\, settlement workers\, youth wor
 kers\, community leaders\, and interested parents or caregivers.\nThe work
 shop will take place in a respectful\, inclusive learning environment wher
 e participants can engage at their comfort level and share insights from t
 heir own experiences. Attendees will leave with practical tools for suppor
 ting children and youth during times of global uncertainty\, along with in
 formation about KAPWB programs and community resources.\nThe session may b
 e offered in-person or in hybrid format\, with online participation availa
